Portraits with Purpose

This project is inspired by Humans of New York (HONY), a photography project started by Brandon Stanton in 2010. The initial goal was to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers on the street, and create an exhaustive catalogue of the city’s inhabitants. HONY now has over twenty million followers on social media, and provides a worldwide audience with daily glimpses into the lives of strangers on the streets of New York City.

These days I live, eat, and breathe baseball/softball. Between my son and daughter playing, and my husband coaching, we are at a game 5 out of 7 days of the week, sometimes 2 games in a day. It got me thinking about how much time and energy parents devote to their children. I wanted to shine some light on the parents in the stands. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, thank you for showing up and supporting your kids.
